The Louisville Zoo
will partner with Louisville Metro Animal Services and Kentucky Humane Society to host a unique pet adoption event in front of the
Zoo. Guests visiting the Zoo this weekend will also be able to learn how
Zookeepers use training and enrichment to help keep various animals
throughout the Zoo healthy and active.
Special guest star
storybook character Biscuit will be visiting the adoption tent
throughout the day.

Metro Animal Services’ is offering several special promotions for the
month of September including $50 off any adoption when a zoo admission
ticket is presented ($50 off adoption coupons will also be handed out at
the Meet Your Best Friend event). If you show your U of L or UK loyalty
the week of September 12-18 by wearing red or blue, you will receive a
$24 adoption in honor of the 24th U of L/UK football game set for
September 17. Finally, in honor of Grandparent’s Day, established in
1978, receive a $19.78 adoption September 19-25. All Louisville Metro
Animal Services adoptions take place at Animal House, located at 3516
