Norton Healthcare Get Healthy Expo
and Movie "The Muppets"

Expo 5 to 8 p.m. followed by movie at sundown.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zoo until 8 p.m., participate in health screenings and activities provided by Norton Healthcare's Center for Preservation and Wellness, and stay for the movie "The Muppets" at sundown.

Cost

This special evening of activities is included with Zoo admission or Zoo membership and is FREE for Get Healthy Walking Club members.

  • Zoo admission is just $5 after 5 p.m. for non-members.

  • There is no fee to join the Get Healthy Walking Club. To join and register for the Expo, call (502) 629-1234.

Get Healthy Walking Expo

Registration for the Walking Expo starts at 4:45 p.m. at the Zoo entrance. It's time to take steps toward a healthier you!

Join us for these healthy activities:

  • Heart-healthy cooking demonstration in the Gheens Room at 5:15, 6 and 6:45 p.m.
  • Zumba demonstration at the Islands exhibit (wear comfortable clothing) at 5:30., 6:30, 7 p.m.
  • Group fitness walk through the zoo (wear comfortable shoes) at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Meet at the Zoo Plaza.
  • Spiritual health checkups at the Banjar House at the Islands exhibit at 5:30, 6, 6:30 7, 7:30 p.m.
  • Health screening in the Gheens room and in the treetops room, both in the Islands exhibit from 5 to 8 p.m.: Blood pressure, Body mass index, Osteoporosis risk and Skin cancer and smoking cessation materials.

Movie Night featuring
"The Muppets"

Field opens at 6 p.m. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a fun family movie under the stars in the Oasis Field. Music and games start at 6:30 p.m. Movies start at sundown.

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary and Mary from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10-million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.
