Adventure of Zoofari! 2010
The Friends of the Louisville Zoo invite the
community to dive “Into the Blue” for Zoofari! 2010 on Saturday, June
12, from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Louisville Zoo.
Guests at the annual black-tie fundraising
event, presented by Brown-Forman and produced by Friends of the
Louisville Zoo, will have the first opportunity to see the amazing new
seal and sea lion habitat at Glacier Run. The exhibit will feature
nose-to-nose encounters with seals and sea lions as they enjoy basking
in the sun and swimming in their new 108,000 gallon saltwater pool.
“Guests at this year's Zoofari! will help us
mark the 30th anniversary of this amazing event and they will enjoy
being on-hand for the debut of the newest exhibit at the Zoo, the seal
and sea lion habitat at Glacier Run. It is an impressive exhibit!” said
Anna Pray, co-chair of Zoofari! 2010 and associate attorney at BB&T.
Exclusive “Dive Right In” tickets are available
for $250 per person and include a formal dining experience provided by
Wiltshire Pantry, signature cocktails provided by Brown-Forman,
entertainment and live and silent auction bidding in the Oasis Tent.
“Mix and Mingle” tickets are a budget-friendly alternative that include
hors d’oeuvres, drinks, silent auction bidding and live entertainment
for $75 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Louisville Zoo’s
Glacier Run capital campaign.
“The Louisville Zoo has positively impacted so
many members of our community and thousands upon thousands of visitors
over the years,” said Sam Stewart, co-chair of Zoofari! 2010 and
Catering Sales Coordinator with Sodexo, “We want to give back to the
Zoo, and are excited to be able to continue to offer the Zoo capital
financial support with this unique event.”
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are
available online at
www.louisvillezoo.org
Contributing sponsors for the event include 2 Thomases Video, Axxis
Inc., CBS Outdoor, Country Legends 103.9, New Country Q 103.1 and
